 The 3rd Annual Sporting Clays Tournament took place on October 19, 2011 and again, it was a great success. Although there were fewer shooters than in past years, more money was raised for the SESAC Training Fund than any other year. For that, we are grateful to all the generous sponsors and the shooters that took part in the event.

 The event began with breakfast and the customary safety meeting. Safety first!
We decided to change things up a little bit this year by awarding prizes to the highest scoring team, rather than the highest scoring individual.
 Winslow Crane was the winning team this year, headed up up by Corkey Wassam. The top individual score came from this team as well. Ed lee scored an impressive 92. Nice shooting guys!
 Ms. Monica Melichar owns Giddy Up, Inc. and she sells promotional gifts and clothing. She generously sponsored this team of fairly awesome shooters! They placed second in the overall scoring. Monica brightened up the day with her incredible smile!  Randy Spike and Damien Knight with Honnen Equipment were here again this year, giving something back to the industry and we appreciate that. Bart Chadwick and Gus Price rounded out the Honnen Equipment Team this year. By the way, Bart and Gus were number three and four, respectively, in the scoring. Not older, Better!  Miller Safety Consulting and Crane and Rigging Consultants are just happy about the fact that they finally have enough employees to make up a complete team! These guys all worked hard putting this event together for the third time and they did a good job, as usual. Steve Miller and Bob Blair are going to take some shooting lessons from Troy Clark and Rich Trosper! That's all we'll say about that.
 We can always count on our good friends at Forsberg Engerman to support the Association as they have done for the past twenty years. They may not have had the leading scores, but they are definitely the leading contributor to this organization and again, we thank you.
 Adam Lewis is a Certified Financial Planner and Steve Miller is very, very grateful to him! Steve says, "No Adam, no retirement"! He has sponsored this event for all three years and he is also a helluva shot!
 Schedule conflicts prevented our friends at Lampson International from coming out and shooting with us this year but they were very generous sponsors and again, we thank you.
 Our friends at the Steel Erectors Association of America continue to support this event as well. The cooperation between our two organizations continues to benefit both. The industry continues to improve because of our relationship as well.
 Prizes were awarded to the first place team and several door prizes were given out including gift cards to Bass Pro, Sports Unlimited shooting glasses, Shotgun shell humidors, and more.  Bob Blair with Miller Safety won the prize for "The individual with the most opportunity to improve"! Steve Miller was relieved!
 We really believe there should be a photo caption contest for this! For now, we'll just say that we can never really measure how much these gentlemen have contributed to the advancement of the steel erection industry and we appreciate their continued support and participation.
